Hey, we hear that the Awesomed by Comics Podcast is pretty AMAZINGLY GREAT this week. Go check it out!
Thanks to the Ampersands for that great theme remix! Check out more of their music on myspace, or buy their album on iTunes.
If you don’t know what we’re talking about, the conversation about the webcomics/podcast brawl happened in this debacle of an episode, with Curt and Chris of Let’s Be Friends Again. No, they are not a couple (yet?).
Our next guest is Kieron Gillen, writer of Thor, S.W.O.R.D. Phonogram, and recently the New Mutants’ Siege tie-in. Because we’re doing this interview at some weird hours due to the overseas scheduling issues, we need you guys to EMAIL your questions to warrocketpodcast_at_gmail.com. Get them in before 2PM SATURDAY.
And look for the episode next week! Once again, back is the incredible.
Wow, this has to break some sort of record for most posts at this blog in a week. In any case, I wrote an Adam WarRock song called “Smashed Gordon” that is tangentially related to what we do here, over at my music site today. Check it out!
Now that Mysterius The Unfathomable is available from Amazon, you have no excuse to not buy it. Sure, we may have selfish motives as artist Tom Fowler has told me and Sims that he’ll draw us into the second volume of the book. But having read it yesterday finally catching up, it is a masterfully drawn and written series of magical, supernatural mystery and hilarious adventure. Trust us, there’s a reason that Sims & Aaron and Evie won’t shut up about how much they love Mysterius.
Also, Fowler and Jeff Parker have graced us with their presence on our show, so we love to support artists and writers we love. So pick up Mysterius the Unfathomable today.
Curt Franklin and Chris Haley of Let’s Be Friends Again sit in on the whole episode, and basically try their best to ruin our show. Did they succeed?! Tune in to find out.
Check out Let’s Be Friends Again at their website, where you can buy stuff like their book, tshirts, prints, and coupons for hot sex on a platter with one of the guys. Also, you can buy their book on Amazon.
Check out Say it Backwards, and buy some of his Superman stuff. Check out the two posts here and here.
Here’s some links to Chris’s Leo Quintum/Lex Luthor theories that he mentioned when talking about All Star Superman (here, here, here, and here)
Follow Curt on twitter here, and Chris on twitter here
Here’s my Scott Pilgrim rap (link). Here’s the Former Fat Boys (link). You decide which is better.
Go check out Max Huffman‘s awesome comic, Mocktopus, which he does between sick burns class and improv comedy.
We’re recording with Curt and Chris, creators of the webcomic Let’s Be Friends Again, tonight! Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at 10PM EST. So if you got questions, hey, why not tweet them at Chris or email them to the show. If you’re all good, I might tell you the dream I had about being at SPX with Curt and Chris, and the Cosplay girls and the skateboard park.
Comic artist and Mad Magazine contributor Tom Fowler stops by to earn our explicit tag, talk about Mysterius, and engage in some good old fashioned nostalgia for our favorite childhood humor magazine. Also, Chad Bowers stops by to show us the friendlier face of the Action Age.
Comic artist Tom Fowler will be our next guest, artist of Mysterius: The Unfathomable and Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, as well as a slew of other titles and a regular contributor to Mad Magazine. We’ll be recording with him tonight, March 17, around 10 PM EST. So tweet your questions and stay tuned for more AJAX.
